Introduce Your Dad: A Hearing Men’s Voices Program

April 23 @ 8:00 pm - 9:45 pm

Explore who we imagine our fathers to be, our feelings about them, and any unfinished business we have been dealing with for years. We may realize how we may be just like them.

Each man takes a turn introducing his father to the group, as if your dad were actually there. He can give facts and details and/or his feelings about Dad. Because this is a highly charged area for all of us, this process could take a while. When you are finished, be aware of any feelings and similarities between you and your father.

Note: How men relate to their fathers is likely the same way they relate to men in as a group-another fertile topic for discussing and sharing feelings.

Rules:
1. Everything is confidential. Anything shared during this activity, stays in the activity.
2. Speak honestly about your father. You can include anything you want, and leave out anything you don’t want.
3. Don’t judge your share. It is what it is, and it’s entirely possible what you share could help and be of comfort to someone else.
