Ethics of the Fathers
Since the Middle Ages Jews have been studying a chapter of this Mishna each Shabbat afternoon between Pesach and Shavout. Pirke Avot is unique as it is the only portion without halakah. No old sages arguing about the law here. Just ethical studies: how to live our lives better. As Ben Zoma said: Who is wise? He who learns from all people. So come learn together, in-person or on line, in this lively interactive study group.
This hybrid class meets every week at 12:45 (after Kiddish) in the Slater conference room. Come early because lots of learning materials will be available, including the new Pirke Imahot!
