Since the 10th century, CE Jews have studied the 6 chapters of Mishna Pirke Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) between Pesach and Shavout on Shabbat afternoons. We at Temple Emanuel search the wisdom together with lively discussion for, as Ben Zoma taught: “Who is wise? Those who learn from everyone”. (4:1)
