BREAKING THE FAST OF THE FIRSTBORN at Daily Morning Minyan, 6:45am, Tuesday April 22nd
As an expression of our gratitude to God for sparing our first born in Egypt, our first born are required to fast on Erev Pesach from sunrise until the start of the seder. That fast can be broken if one attends a Siyum, a special teaching marking the conclusion of a course of study, followed by a ritual meal, known as a Seudat Mitzvah. This year our Siyum will be taught by Rabbi Elie Lehmann, Director of Hadar Boston. It will be followed by a special Seudat Mitzvah at the conclusion of our daily Minyan. Join us!
