Me’ah Classic

November 15, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

The Jewish “conversation” stretches over 3,000 years, with each generation interpreting and reinterpreting the core texts of Jewish life. Me’ah Classic is a comprehensive, engaging, and in-depth adult learning experience that takes students on a 100-hour, two-year journey through the narrative of the Jewish people. Me’ah Classic is taught by outstanding faculty who empower students to become part of the conversation. Readings, text study, lectures and discussions focus on core texts from biblical, rabbinic, medieval, and modern times. Students receive a certificate during a graduation ceremony at the end of their second year.

RABBI NEAL GOLD teaches and writes about Jewish texts, Israel, and intersections between Jewish spiritual life and the contemporary world. In 2020, he created a rapidly expanding online platform for adult Jewish learning called “A Tree with Roots,” which draws students from all over North America and around the world.

Neal is the Jewish Chaplain and Hillel Director at Babson College. He serves on the faculty of Me’ah, a program of Hebrew College, where he teaches a wide variety of courses from Bible to Modern Jewish History.

The fee per year is $650 per person. Generous financial aid is available. Contact meah@hebrewcollege.edu for more information or visit the website.
