Abatement Assistance Form

No one will be denied membership because of financial hardship. If you would like to apply for an abatement (reduction of your dues), please complete this section and send this form to the Temple office c/o Erin Moseley, Executive Director or Tim Mahoney, President, or contact Erin directly at emoseley@templeemanuel.com or (617) 558-8127. All requests will be kept in strict confidence.

 

Abatement Certification

I certify that full payment of the regular dues charged to me by Temple Emanuel would create a significant financial hardship. I request a reduction of this payment through the Temple’s abatement program for fiscal year 2023-24.

Certification

I understand that if an abatement is granted, it will be for this fiscal year only (ending June 30, 2022) and that I must certify a continued need to receive an abatement in future years. I also understand that this certification will be treated confidentially and that the President of the congregation, Tim Mahoney or the Executive Director, Jeff Lurie, will speak with me personally about my request if I choose or if they think it would be helpful.

Resignations

Resignations: We hope everyone will choose to continue their membership. However, we recognize that there may be reasons to change your status. Please let us know if you do not wish to renew your membership and the reason why. Your feedback is most valuable. If we do not receive your resignation request in writing, we will consider your membership as active. We appreciate your taking the time to respond.
