75th Celebration

The 75th year-long anniversary will be anchored by three main events, with various touchstones of commemoration and celebration occurring from December 2009 - November 2010. It will focus on honoring the past, recommitting to the present, and planning and dreaming for the future.

We began our celebration of our milestone anniversary at this year's Hanukkah Celebration and 75th Kick-off. The other two anchoring events include a Spring Gala Sunday night, May 2nd, 2010 and a special Rabbi Samuel Chiel Kallah weekend in the fall of 2010. Details to follow.

Watch and listen to the Temple Emanuel Voices, a series of interviews with our members about how Temple Emanuel has touched their lives.

Listen to a song composed by our own Jeremiah Klarman in celebration of Temple Emanuel's 75th Anniversary. It is entitled Kol Haamim and is based on Psalm 47.

We also want to reiterate Rabbi Gardenswartz's request for memorabilia -- and memories -- from those of you have been associated with the Temple in years past.  We're hoping to mount displays during the year, to connect past to present through the generations.

For more information, please contact 75th Anniversary Celebration committee chairs Mady and Bruce Donoff (mady.donoff@hadassah.org and bruce_donoff@hsdm.harvard.edu) or Sherry and Ned Holstein (sherholst@gmail.com and nedholst@aol.com).
